The contractual standoff between 22-year-old forward Jonathan Kuminga and the Golden State Warriors is reportedly set to end.

Shams Charania of ESPN reports that Kuminga, the No. 7 overall pick of the 2021 Draft, has come to terms on a two-year $48.5 million deal with the Warriors that will include a team option for the second year. The option, Charania added, would allow a new contract to be negotiated ahead of the 2026-27 offseason.

As a restricted free agent, Kuminga’s options were limited beyond the one-year qualifying offer. The Warriors had the right to match any offer from another team, and with the market bereft of teams able or willing to extend an offer sheet to Kuminga, negotiations between him and Golden State became a prolonged affair.
