BANGOR -- October 1st marks the start of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Partners for Peace Director of Development and Engagement, Casey Faulkingham, says it's important that domestic violence victims know there are services available to help them get out of their dangerous situations.
Faulkingham says partners for peace can provide a 24-hour help line, transitional housing, child advocacy, pet-friendly emergency shelters, legal advocacy, and more to anyone in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties experiencing domestic violence.
