LIBERTY, Mo. —
The man accused of killing a North Kansas City police officer returned to court Tuesday as jurors heard testimony on day two of the trial.

Prosecutors say the driver, Joshua Rocha, shot Vasquez multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Rocha later confessed to detectives and turned himself in hours after the killing.
On Tuesday, defense attorneys called two witnesses before resting their case.
One of them, Emmy Ridout, testified that Rocha and his mother were living with her family in Gladstone at the time of the shooting.
Ridout testified Rocha came home that day looking “white as a ghost.”
