COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Property Tax Working Group, a group formed by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine in response to calls for property tax reform in Ohio, has submitted its list of recommendations to Governor DeWine on Tuesday.

The group's creation was announced during Governor DeWine's 2025 State of the State address, where he vetoed a provision of the budget that would have eliminated the authority of political subdivisions to levy replacement property tax levies for things like schools and emergency services.

The group was to act as a way to discuss ways to give Ohioans property tax relief without jeopardizing these services.
