After the Taliban government announced a nationwide internet shutdown, Afghanistan’s main airport has come to a standstill with most of the services at Kabul airport affected as there were reportedly no traces of any flight arriving or departing, BBC reported.
Taliban has informed that the internet shutdown is there to stay in Afghanistan until further notice, but fell short of providing an official reason for the decision that has affected almost every sector of the economy in the country, including Afghan women, for whom the internet was their last lifeline in order to access online education.
