WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was seriously injured in a shooting in Wake Forest on Tuesday night.

Wake Forest Police said earlier that it happened on Winter Jasmine Lane, but later said it happened nearby, in the 5500 block of Mill Dam Road.

Police said just after 8:30 p.m. that a suspect had been taken into custody.

Police said the shooting victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
