It’ll be a “Let’s GO Blue Jays!” weekend for commuting fans after all with GO trains and buses now scheduled to run with the delay of planned maintenance.

With highly-anticipated Jays playoff games in the city on Saturday and Sunday , Metrolinx announced Tuesday that “major track work” set for the weekend on the Lakeshore West line will be deferred.

The Blue Jays will host Game 1 and 2 of the American League Division Series (ALDS) on those days.

“Weekend GO train and bus service will run as scheduled, and we look forward to safely transporting fans to and from the game,” Metrolinx said. “This was an incredible effort requiring close co-ordination between Metrolinx, our construction partners, and rail partners like Canadian National, Alstom and VIA.”
