COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Associated Press state football poll returned Tuesday after a week hiatus after a survey of writers across the state.

Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller is now atop Division I, followed by rival Elder and St. Edward. The Eagles had been in the No. 1 spot, but their loss two weeks ago at Massillon led to their drop.

Kirtland is the only No. 1-ranked team in any division from Northeast Ohio, receiving eight first-place votes to remain atop Division VI.
