SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Tuesday afternoon was mostly cloudy and breezy with some showers.

Temperatures were well below normal in just the upper 70s to lower 80s. This was all due to Hurricane Imelda located about 400 miles off of our coast.

The circulation has been promoting a strong northerly flow into the southeast which will keep conditions feeling like fall for several days.

As Imelda moves further out to sea, high pressure will be building in over the eastern U.S. Wednesday and Thursday will become mainly sunny and mild. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Some moisture will start to return to the southeast on Friday which may lead to some isolated showers developing. Afternoon highs will again be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
