Some beneficiaries will see two payments from the Social Security Administration (SSA) this October.

This is due to the calendar schedule, which has adjusted the payment date for November.

People receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will get their first payment on Wednesday, Oct. 1, and a second payment on Friday, Oct. 30.

The second October payment is issued early to cover the November compensation, as Nov. 1 falls on a Saturday.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a needs-based program that provides monthly payments to people with limited income and resources who are age 65 or older or have a disability. Children with disabilities or who are blind may also qualify.
