EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - The Universities of Wisconsin System is proposing a new policy that would make it easier for students to transfer between schools. And it could impact operations for UW-Eau Claire.
Here's how it would work: Core general education credits, known as 'Gen Eds' earned at one UW school would transfer and count towards graduation requirements at any of the 13 schools in the UW system.
Right now, 'Gen Ed' credits vary by university. This proposed policy could be significant for future Blugolds.
"What I do think will happen is that it may be easier and more straightforward for students who transfer into UW-Eau Claire and to other UW system institutions," said Mary Hoffman, vice chancellor of academic affairs.
