WALLER, Texas (KBTX) - The library at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) was evacuated Tuesday morning after the building received a bomb threat, the university confirmed. That threat prompted a “secure status” at a Waller ISD campus.

The university told KBTX it received a bomb threat at the library and evacuated the building. University police are investigating.

In a statement, Prairie View said the threat was deemed non-credible after investigating. However, classes were canceled for the rest of the day and most staff were sent to work from home. Essential personnel was instructed to remain on campus.
