LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Several first responders were called to a crash east of Lincoln on Tuesday.

Just after 5 p.m., first responders from Eagle and a StarCare helicopter were called to the area of 148th and O streets.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a Dodge Ram pickup was driving north on 148th Street when it left the road, coming to a stop in a ditch on the west side.

The single occupant, a 45-year-old man, was taken to a hospital via StarCare to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities said he was wearing a seatbelt.

Southbound traffic was blocked on 148th Street while crews worked to clean up the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
