HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - University of Hawaii quarterback and placekicker picked up several awards for their performance against the Air Force.

Micah Alejado, a redshirt freshman from Las Vegas, earned both the Old Trapper Mountain West Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week awards for the second time this season, in addition to being selected to the Davey O’Brien Award Great 8 and Manning Award Stars of the Week.

By being selected to the Great 8, Alejado is now on the official Davey O’Brien Award Midseason Watch List.

Kensei Matsuzawa, a senior from Tokyo, Japan, was named the Old Trapper Mountain West’s Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season.
