GRIFFIN, Ga. — A waiter in Griffin went well beyond the duties of his job on Tuesday after he overheard two men talking about shooting up a local bank while dining and reported them to law enforcement.

Griffin Police said they were called to the restaurant by the employee, and uniform patrol and officers with the Criminal Investigations Division began immediately investigating the threat.

Officers were able to find the two men, 73-year-old David Kelly and 48-year-old Bryan Hardin, sitting in a parked car in a nearby Wells Fargo parking lot in Griffin. The men were both arrested and charged with felony terroristic threats and acts.
