LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with the Monday morning homicide that occurred in Lafayette.

Challis Prejean, 23, of Lafayette, was arrested and booked into a Lafayette Parish jail on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, illegal discharge of weapons and felon in possession of a firearm.

There was no information provided regarding Prejean's bail.
