Dunlap soccer moves into the driver’s seat for the Mid-Illini title with a home shutout victory over Washington

( 25News Now ) - One of the area’s most intense and longest-running soccer rivalries added another chapter tonight as Dunlap shutout their Mid-Illini rivals Washington 2-0, thanks to two second-half goals by Jackson Orris and Raphael Nascimento. Morton, Peoria Notre Dame, and Peoria Christian also kept on rolling with impressive shutouts.

Metamora, Normal West, Eureka, and Morton volleyball all pick up valuable conference victories.

At the Class 2A Girl’s Golf Regional at Metamora Fields, Dunlap’s Sydney Hunt is the medalist after a playoff; the Eagles finished second as a team, with Morton in third. Normal U-High is the team champ, led by Natalie Ocheltree’s 73 and Audrey Hitt’s 76.
