The city of Danville is looking for residents to provide feedback on changing a polling location for Election Ward No. 7.
The switch will not impact the Nov. 4 election. Instead, it would start next year.
Right now, voters in that area go to the Salvation Army building at 123 Henry St. The new location is proposed to be at the Adult Education Center at Woodrow Wilson Campus, located at 1005 N. Main St.
In a letter dated Jan. 23, Lt. Shawnte Hodges, one of the former commanding officers for the Danville Salvation Army, notified the electoral board of the local unit’s decision to no longer be a polling spot.
