Durga puja turned tragic after two people died on the spot and another, a teenaged girl, succumbed to her injuries after the car they were travelling in fell into a roadside ditch.

The accident happened today morning near Sessa Maidam in Dibrugarh, Assam.

According to reports, the car lost control and veered off the four-lane National Highway, plunging into the roadside ditch.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
