Last week, local school districts' state standardized test scores were released to the public. So were local voucher students' scores — but those numbers weren't quite as clear.
Wisconsin has multiple school choice, or “voucher” programs, where students can apply to receive public funding to pay for private school tuition. Students outside of Milwaukee or Racine participate in the Wisconsin Parental Choice program unless they have an individualized education program, in which case they participate in the Special Needs Scholarship Program.
