VARANASI: A 75-year-old man who married a 40-year-old widow on Monday died the following morning after a sudden deterioration in his health in Jaunpur district. The incident took place in Kuchhmuchh village under the Gaurabadshahpur police station area. Police said the deceased, identified as Sangru, was taken for postmortem on Wednesday after his nephew, Ravi, arrived from Delhi. “No allegations have been made, but everyone wanted to ensure no foul play occurred,” said Pravin Kumar Yadav, in-charge of Gaurabadshahpur police station. The next steps will depend on the postmortem report. Sangru, a native of Kuchhmuchh, was previously married to Anari, who died at the age of 65. The couple had no children.
