WEBSTER, Mass. (WWLP) - The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the decades-old disappearance of a 4-year-old boy from Webster who went missing on September 30, 1978.

Andrew Amato was last seen by his 7-year-old sister and 6-year-old cousin in a wooded area near the Ash Street Trailer Park, according to NBC Boston. The children were on a trail near what is now Interstate 395 when Andrew stumbled and dropped his toy, refusing to return home without it.

The other children went to get help, but upon returning, they could not find Andrew. His disappearance has remained unsolved for decades, prompting the FBI to renew efforts to gather information that could lead to a resolution.
