WARREN An Ashtabula County man was indicted in Trumbull County this week on charges stemming from what authorities say was an impaired driving crash that seriously injured a Kinsman Township man as he was out collecting his mail.

Arne Siekkinen, 59, of Williamsfield, faces a felony charge of aggravated vehicular assault, as well as a misdemeanor OVI charge in connection with the Feb. 5 collision at Williamsfield Kinsman Road, south of Webb West Road in Kinsman Township.

According to the crash report, Siekkinen was driving northbound after 8 p.m. when his Chevy Impala struck a 61-year-old man who was retrieving mail from a roadside mailbox in front of his house. The Impala then drove off the road and struck the victim’s parked pickup truck and a mailbox.
