Oti Mabuse has joined the judging panel of Ireland's Dancing with the Stars. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional has been tapped to replace Loraine Barry as the head judge on the Irish version of the popular dancing competition. The South African dancer competed on Strictly between 2015 and 2021, with her winning the glitterball trophy in 2019 and 2020. She has since become a TV staple, appearing on shows such as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Loose Women and The Masked Dancer. "Dance has been such a huge part of my life and to now have the opportunity to celebrate the incredible talent and passion that Ireland has to offer, is such a joy," Oti said in a statement. "As someone who has been on both sides of the judging table - from performing as a professional dancer on Strictly - to sitting on panels on different shows, I know just how much heart, hard work and magic goes into every performance and how much this show means to everyone. "I'm looking forward to having the best time with my fellow judges and can't wait to bring my love for performance and, of course, a whole lot of sparkle, to this fabulous show." Oti was previously a judge on The Greatest Dancer between 2019 and 2020 and on Dancing on Ice from 2022 to earlier this year. Her sister, Motsi Mabuse, has been on the Strictly judging panel since 2019. The star was inundated with supportive messages from the Strictly family, with fellow dancers Amy Dowden, Janette Manrara and Nancy Xu congratulating her on the new job alongside the likes of Laura Whitmore, Ashley Banjo and AJ Odudu. Oti will start her new role in January.
