GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Thanks to your nominations, WITN highlights educators in the area every Wednesday morning. This week, we want you to meet Beth Lang.

Beth is a 7th-grade Earth Science teacher at Hope Middle School in Pitt County.

She is in her ninth year of teaching, primarily teaching at both the middle and high school levels.

An ECU grad, Beth studied Geology and got her Master’s degree in Teaching.

Beth says her classroom will always be a science-centered space where all students matter because science is for everyone.

Aside from teaching, Beth has written four books, has driven across the U.S. twice, and has traveled overseas to Ireland and Scotland over the past few summers.
