Fighter planes are likely to be spotted flying over Edinburgh and the Lothians in the coming weeks as the RAF conducts training exercises.
Flight radar in recent days has shown numerous aircraft from US contractor Draken flying over and around Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders.
Top brass at RAF Lassiemouth have confirmed they will be conducting training exercises with their Typhoon squadrons from Monday, September 29 to Friday, October 10.
The Typhoons are highly-efficient and agile fighters composed of Typhoon FGR4s and are often used by the RAF to conduct operations for NATO, according to the force's website.
The hours of operation are scheduled to be from 3pm to 1am from September 29 through October 3 and from 11am to 9pm October 6 to October 10.
