GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —

Deputies are searching for a man who was shot after breaking into a home in Greenville County, South Carolina, on Wednesday morning.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Butter Street in Landrum after deputies received a call about a disturbance at 6:17 a.m.

When deputies arrived, they learned that a man had broken into the home and an altercation occurred.

Investigators say the suspect, who was later identified as 29-year-old Tristin Taylor Jolley, was shot in the foot and fled the home.

Deputies are searching the area for the suspect. Authorities described Jolley as 6 feet tall and 150 pounds.

According to deputies, Jolley broke into the home of a former domestic partner.
