The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association and the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center will celebrate Manufacturing Month throughout the month of October with the “Makers on the Move” statewide bus tour, according to a community announcement.

The “Makers on the Move” tour, now in its fourth year, will visit manufacturing facilities, educational institutions and community centers across Illinois throughout October. The tour aims to highlight the diverse and rewarding careers in manufacturing and offer an up-close look at today’s high-tech modern manufacturing.

The bus will make roughly 30 stops throughout the state, with industry advocates, educators, students, manufacturing leaders, economic development professionals, public officials and other dignitaries joining the tour.
