WASHTENAW COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - A Michigan State Police trooper from the Brighton Post was injured in a crash while responding to an emergency around 8:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The trooper was traveling eastbound on Jackson Road in Washtenaw County with emergency lights and sirens activated.

As the patrol vehicle entered the intersection of Jackson Road and Wagner Avenue in Ann Arbor, a southbound car hauler on Wagner entered the intersection. The patrol vehicle collided with the trailer of the car hauler.

The trooper sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No other injuries have been reported, and the incident is currently under investigation.
