Young dancers in the area are getting a rare opportunity to perform with a professional ballet company and to attend a master class by its dancers through a collaboration among Connect2Culture, Karen’s Dance Studio of Joplin and Ballet Arkansas, considered the premier ballet company in Arkansas.

The opportunities are in conjunction with a local performance of the classic holiday ballet, “The Nutcracker,” which is being reimagined as “The Magic of the Nutcracker” by Ballet Arkansas. The production, part of C2C’s performance season, is set for Friday, Nov. 21, and Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Harry M. Cornell Arts and Entertainment Complex in downtown Joplin. ×
