New Delhi: Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics and IT, will inaugurate five more National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Centres virtually on Thursday.
One of the new NIELIT centres has been set up at Odisha’s Balasore. The other centres to be launched are at Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Daman (Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu) and Lunglei (Mizoram). ADVERTISEMENT
NIELIT, an Autonomous Scientific Society under Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), has played a key role in digital skilling and empowerment. There are 56 NIELIT centres currently, over 750 accredited institutes and more than 9,000 facilitation centres.
