PERRY, Ohio (WJW) – Even though black bears are considered endangered, sightings are becoming more frequent in Ohio.
A curious black bear was spotted on a trail camera early Wednesday morning in Perry.
Almir Duheric shared photos of the bear, taken near Clark Rd. and Perry Parkway just before 4 a.m.

An adult black bear can weigh anywhere between 150 and 700 pounds, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Males, when standing upright, measure between five and six feet tall, ODNR reports, while females measure four to five feet.
