The Patriots, which snapped a three-game losing streak in Week 6, received seven of 13 possible first-place votes in the latest USA Today Florida Network high school football poll.

The No. 1 spot in Class 4A has changed six times this season. American Heritage and Jones both have spent time alone at the top spot. Twice, the vote for No. 1 has ended in a tie.

Undefeated St. Augustine, which beat previously undefeated Columbia and had been tied for first place with American Heritage, received six first-place votes.

Miami Northwestern retains the No. 1 spot in Class 3A. The Bulls picked up eight first-place votes, while rival Miami Central received five. Northwestern and Central play on Oct. 4.
