Negotiations on US President Donald Trump’s peace proposal for Gaza continue in Doha as the world awaits a response from Hamas, which said on Wednesday that it will submit one in the next 36 to 72 hours.

According to top diplomatic sources, Hamas wants amendments to Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan, and on Tuesday (September 30), the group said it will study the plan, both within and with other Palestinian factions before responding.

Qatar, a key mediator, also said further talks are needed over details of the proposal for ending the nearly two-year war in Gaza. Negotiators from Qatar, Türkiye, and Egypt are consulting with Hamas in Doha, the sources told News18 .
