New Delhi: Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections rose 9.1 percent year-on-year in the month of September reaching at Rs 1.89 lakh crore as per the data obtained from Union Finance Ministry. The September GST collection is 9.1 percent higher than the Rs 1.73 lakh crore GST collected in the corresponding month of the year ago period. The August GST collection stood at Rs 1.86 lakh crore.

September GST Cut

For the April–September period, GST mop-up stood at Ra 12.1 lakh crore, recording a surge of 9.8 percent from Rs 11 lakh crore the GST collected in the correspoding period of a year ago period. The 5 month GST collection represents about 55 perent of the GST collected in FY24. Net revenues for the first half of FY25 came in at Rs 10.4 lakh crore, showing an 8.8 percent rise.
