The Cancer AI Alliance has launched a collaborative AI platform for cancer research. The platform enables participating cancer centers to train AI models on millions of clinical data points without moving individual data outside institutional firewalls. It is designed to accelerate discovery while maintaining strict privacy, security and regulatory standards, according to an Oct. 1 news release.

Eight initial projects are underway using data from more than 1 million patients, with plans to launch dozens more in the coming year.
