Here's a preview of Week 5's games for North Country high school football teams. Thursday, October 2 Indian River (2-2) at Syracuse ITC (3-1), 6 p.m.: The Wolves and Eagles square off in a Class B West Division matchup. IR is coming off a 12-6 overtime loss to rival Carthage last week. Syracuse ITC topped Cortland, 42-0, last week. South Jefferson (1-3) at Cortland (0-4), 6:30 p.m.: Both the Spartans and Purple Tigers are hoping to get back in the win column in another Class B West game.
