LOUISA, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Louisa man is facing multiple assault-related charges after allegedly assaulting a woman and two children while intoxicated on Sunday.

Just after midnight, Louisa police said they were called on Sept. 28 to an apartment in the 300 block of Fyffe Street for a reported assault.

Officers said they arrived to find a woman who had blood running from her ear down her chest, as well as a bruised right eye and a possibly bruised left eye.

She told officers that the assault happened after arguing with 36-year-old Douglas Brewer. During the argument, the woman said Brewer then punched her in the face while she was holding a baby and broke her phone when she tried to call the police. At one point, Brewer bit the woman's right ear.
