Georgia football relied on a pair of true freshmen on the offensive line and another player made his starting debut with right tackle Earnest Greene sidelined against Alabama.
So what’s the latest on Greene, a senior with 25 career starts who has missed two games this season due to a back injury?
“Earnest is continuing to work to rehab to get better and strengthen and really get stamina and endurance,” coach Kirby Smart said on Wednesday Oct. 1 ahead of Satursday's game against Kentucky. “He’s really working hard to get back. Don’t know the timeline on that yet.”
Redshirt sophomore Bo Hughley started at right tackle against Alabama and true freshman Juan Gaston came in and played in that spot as well.
