NEW YORK —
The Boston Red Sox are one win away from knocking the Yankees out of the playoffs and advancing to the American League Division Series.
Boston pulled off a 3-1 victory over their archrivals on Tuesday night.
The Red Sox trailed 1-0 for most of Game 1 before Masataka Yoshida's pinch-hit two-run single in the seventh gave Boston their first lead of the game.
The Sox were backed by great pitching performances from starter Garrett Crochet and closer Aroldis Chapman.
