The Yankees will send southpaw Carlos Rodon to the mound in a must-winGame 2 of the American League wild-card series Wednesday.

They’ll hope for better results against a team that has been a bane to Rodon for the past couple of years.

In three starts against the Red Sox this season, Rodon posted a 5.74 ERA across 15 ⅔ innings.

Rodon couldn’t get through the sixth inning in any of those outings and didn’t strike out more than five batters in any of them.

It wasn’t much better for him against Boston in 2024.

During that season, Rodon had a 4.86 ERA in three outings against the Red Sox.
