Will government shutdown affect Akron-Canton, Cleveland airport operations?

After congressional leaders failed to strike a deal over federal spending by the Oct. 1 deadline, a partial shutdown has begun.

As a consequence, a wide range of federal services will be impacted with thousands of government workers expected to be furloughed. Agencies including air traffic control, the U.S. Postal Service and Social Security that are considered essential will operate as normal.
