New Delhi: Union minister G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday said the government is stepping up measures to handle the festive season rush in train travel, particularly during Dussehra.
In a post on X, Reddy said the South Central Railways has made extensive arrangements, including:
Operating 1,450 special trains
Handling around 500 passing-through specials
Attaching extra coaches to nearly 350 regular trains on popular routes
The festival season is when a lot of people wish to spend time with their families.
