BLUE SPRINGS, MO — A local man was confronted with the unpleasant reality that he had failed miserably as a father after he discovered that his young son was rooting for the New York Yankees.

Aaron Timson later said that he had been living under the false impression that he was doing a solid job of raising his young son, Harrison, only to find out this week that he had utterly failed as a parent when the boy said that the Yankees were one of his favorite teams.

"Where did I go so wrong?" Timson asked. "He seemed like he was growing up into such a well-rounded, level-headed boy.
