Former Iowa women’s basketball star Kate Martin will return to play in the upcoming season of the 3-on-3 basketball league Unrivaled .
Martin, a member of the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries , played in the inaugural season of Unrivaled when it began this past January. She joins women's basketball stars Paige Bueckers and Jackie Young as members of the 2026 season, according to a series of social media posts beginning Sept. 22.
A member of the Iowa women's basketball team from 2018 to 2024, Martin played in six games for Unrivaled in 2025 as a member of the Laces and averaged 8.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest. Rosters and team schedules for the 2026 season are not yet available.
