SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Good afternoon! We kick off the new month with similar weather to what we ended September with: hot and sunny with low humidity! Highs will hit the upper 80s and lower 90s through the afternoon with partly cloudy skies.

Through tomorrow, highs will stay consistent, hitting the upper 80s and lower 90s, but there will be a slight chance for an isolated shower to hit your area within the ArkLaTex!

The rain chances diminish through Friday and Saturday, but the high-pressure system that was keeping our conditions dry will start to move eastward. This will allow for southerly winds to return. Southerly wind means higher humidity and the return of slim rain chances by Sunday and into the next week!
