INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis is expanding its Clinician-Led Community Response (CLCR) team's area to include neighborhoods on the southeast side of the city.

The team specializes in responding to non-violent emergency calls about mental health or substance abuse. The team is a partnership between Indy's Office of Public Health and Safety (OPHS) and Stepping Stones Therapy Center.

“We are not just expanding, we are evolving,” said Andrea Brown, executive director of CLCR in a statement. “Our interactions with 911 Dispatch and our neighbors in Southeast District have shown us that the needs of the community are ever-changing.”
