MOSES LAKE, Wash — Several middle school students were reportedly threatened by a man with a gun in Moses Lake on Tuesday night.

According to the Moses Lake Police Department, officers responded to reports of middle school cross-country runners being threatened by a man with a gun in a car between Milwaukee Avenue and Montlake Park in Moses Lake.

Following the reports, police said several officers responded to the area, and a drone was launched.

Police said someone matching the description given by the students arrived later, but it was determined the man was not the suspect they were looking for.

Police said no guns were found, nor was the matching description of the car.

Moses Lake Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
