At their third public hearing for the controversial four-lot Calf Creek subdivision in Corvallis, Ravalli County Commissioners Jeff Burrows and Dan Huls unanimously voted to deny the application.
Commissioners voted to deny the subdivision’s development after arguing that developers failed to meet certain criteria such as its impacts on the area’s ag-water facilities and the area's public health and safety.
The meeting, which lasted over six hours, was chock-full of informative discussion, deliberation and persistent public testimony. The majority of the meeting was spent working through the Calf Creek Staff Report and weighing the implications of its criterion.
