Neighbouring municipal and First Nations communities celebrated the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday.
Near Southampton, Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation joined together on a temporarily closed Zgaa-biig-ni-gan Bridge in a moment of reflection and togetherness.

The town also closed Victoria Street North from Thompson Street to Clarendon Street between 9 and 11 a.m.
The Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation called the day an opportunity to honour the survivors of residential schools, their families and the children who never came home.
